Foxlink Group and Qualcomm MEMS Technologies Visit President of Taiwan Ma Ying-jeou

Taipei, Taiwan – June 16, 2009 – Foxlink Group announced that the first dedicated mirasol® display fabrication plant which is a result of strategic collaboration with Qualcomm MEMS Technologies, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), opened in the Longtan’s Science Park in Taoyuan, Taiwan. With Qualcomm MEMS’ technical expertise and Foxlink’s background in manufacturing, both are well positioned to enable the commercialization of mirasol® display technology to the market with increased efficiency and in greater quantities.

The collaboration solidifies Qualcomm MEMS Technologies’ development advancement and Foxlink’s extensive manufacturing experience in terms of new business model from the laboratory to manufacturing on a greater scale.

Foxlink Group chairman T.C.Gou accompanied Qualcomm chairman Paul E.Jacobs to visit President of Taiwan Ma Ying-jeou on June 15,2009 to make brief introduction of this extraordinary US-Taiwan joint investment of nearly NT$ 33 billion in the future. Furthermore, Foxlink Group chairman T.C.Gou explained to President Ma Ying-jeou that the new mirasol® technology in the hands of the Foxlink team and the capable engineers of Qualcomm MEMS Technologies successfully creates great opportunity for not only providing more jobs, but also building the technology transfer. It will help move display technologies from U.S. laboratory to the marketplace to benefit the technology localization and Taiwan economic. President Ma Ying-jeou expressed his affirmation of enterprise technology investment in Taiwan and showed his expectation of the combination with domestic display industry for accelerating national technology competitiveness.
